On Friday (Feb. 21) Oakland rapper Kamaiyah released her debut studio album, Got It Made. The ten-track album includes features by J. Espinosa, Capolow, and Trina.
Got It Made serves as the follow up to Kamaiyah’s 2017 mixtape Before I Wake and her 2019 single “Windows.” The Oakland native’s debut was released on her own label GRND. WRK.
Kamaiyah was once the protégé of Los Angeles rapper YG, opening up for him in 2016 during his [expletive] Donald Trump Tour. In 2017, Kamaiyah was also a part of XXL‘s highly-coveted “Freshmen Class.”
The rapper told Vibe that she wanted to create an album that her fans “can shake their asses to and vibe out to and ride out to.” Kamaiyah’s debut album is now available on all streaming platforms, including Apple Music, Tidal, and Amazon music.
