Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has revealed plans to extend the state’s stay-at-home order after the number of coronavirus cases rose by 1,376 in the past day. In addition to the new cases — which bring Michigan’s total to 20,346 — state health officials report 114 more deaths, bringing the death toll to 959. In response to the new numbers, Whitmer says her stay-at-home order, originally set to end April 14th, is “going to be extended.” She’s expected to make the announcement on Thursday.
