Michigan Now Offering COVID-19 Testing for All Essential Workers – Here’s How to Get Tested
All essential workers and first responders in Michigan are now eligable to get tested for coronavirus (COVID-19), even if they do not have any symptoms.
Dr. Joneigh Khaldun, Michigan’s chief medical executive, announced Monday (April 20) that first responders, healthcare workers and anyone who works in an essential job right now — including those working at grocery stores, in food services, police officers, firefighters, utility workers, transportation workers and more — can now receive a test.
Those who would like a test can visit michigan.gov/coronavirus and click “Find a Testing Site Near You.” Type in your address to search for a testing site close by.
Those who need more help can call the COVID-19 Hotline at (888) 535-6136 or email [email protected].
