Would You Let Your Significant Other have an OnlyFans account?
We live in a time where everyone has a side hustle and if it’s bringing home cash, can you really hate on it?Let’s face it. We live in a world where sex sells and there are plenty of people who have no problem opening up their wallet for high quality pictures and videos.
If you haven’t heard of OnlyFans, it is a popular social media service based in the UK where creators have a paid subscription content service where they spit out exclusive content to “fans”. Even based in the UK, I’d imagine at this point that the majority of the creators on the service now live in America.
Essentially, many women (and men) create an account, put up their nude photos and videos and “fans” or those who are curious pay for the subscription and have access to their content at any time. Creators can receive both monthly funds and tips.
80% of the funds go to the creator, and 20% goes to the company which is how OnlyFans makes bank.
According to Wikipedia, as of February 2020, the site has 20 million registered users and claims to have paid out $400 million to its 200,000 content creators.
There are many people who are paying their rent with their account. They take photos and record videos on a daily basis, they build up a fanbase and collect checks. Can you hate on it? Sure, their naked body is out there for anyone with a credit card to see. Is it worth the payday?
Let me say this. I’m a different breed. I’m not the overly jealous type and I know my girlfriend has a rockin’ body. If she wants to show it off and collect hundreds of dollars, I’m totally with it. It’s one thing for her to enter the porn industry and I have to think about random men having their way with her. They’re just pictures (and maybe videos) and she should totally feel confident with herself that if she wants to collect the check, go get it boo!
However, not everyone thinks the same way that I do. I know many people who would definitely feel some type of way about their significant other’s body being out there for the world to see and as you know, once the photos/videos are out there on the internet, they forever exist!
Where do you stand with this?
