While on her way to Whole Foods to pick up groceries, actress Debbi Morgan recorded a video where she broke down crying regarding how the black community has been vastly affected by COVID-19.

“This is my first day out in about 12 days. I’m on my way to Whole Foods to get some important essentials that we need,” Morgan said,  placing emphasis on “need.”

“And I don’t know but for some reason today I’ve just been overcome with such emotion. I just want us to get through this and to the other side, and especially within our black communities where people are sick and dying.”

“So many of us are dying and we can’t put food on the table for our children. We can’t pay our rent and our mortgages,” Morgan continued.

“You know, our ancestors were strong people and they got through slavery. We are still all strong people and we will get this COVID-19 but we got to stay smart and stay safe but we cannot and will not be broken.”

“WE ARE A STRONG AND INVINCIBLE PEOPLE!” Debbi Morgan wrote as the caption of her video.
