ATLANTA, GA - OCTOBER 5: Teyana Taylor speaks onstage at the BET Hip Hop Awards 2019 at Cobb Energy Center on October 5, 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia.

As promised, on Friday (May 22), Teyana Taylor dropped two new singles and videos for, “Made It” and “Bare Wit Me.”

“It’s been a long time coming/All these blessings rolling in/I ain’t even seen em’ coming/Too hard, too hard/I’ve been going too hard now/They say I need a vacation/Say I need to slow down/And I ain’t tryna slow down,” Taylor sings on “Made It.”

Taylor includes some of the Class of 2020 in the video for “Made It.” Fans of Teyana Taylor submitted the singer videos of themselves wearing their cap and gowns, and she incorporated them into her video where she appears having a graduation ceremony in a backyard.

At the end of the video, Taylor is actually on a Zoom call with said graduates, congratulating them and sharing what her experience was like during graduation. Apparently, the singer didn’t attend her actual ceremony because she was working in the entertainment industry. Taylor said that she had her graduation in a Starbucks.

Unlike “Made It,” “Bare Wit Me,” isn’t a celebratory track. Instead, it’s a song about a “woman scorned.”

“I can’t be with another [expletive] who won’t reach for my love/You got me [expletive] up/ I’ll shoot some [expletive] up/I can’t pretend, no,” Taylor sings on “Bare Wit Me.”

In the video,  “Bare With Me” Taylor sits beside her bloody lover while wearing lingerie. The video then goes to a shot of a packed movie theatre where viewers watch Teyana Taylor on screen as she comes into a hospital room and caresses her lovers’ feet while he lays in a hospital bed.

Taylor then breaks out into a dance number where she pays homage to Michael Jackson with her back up dancers who rock matching colored suits, hats, and slacks with white socks and penny loafers.
