Need a reason to celebrate? It’s National Grape Popsicle Day! With summer just around the corner who doesn’t love a Popsicle on a warm sunny day!?Popsicles are one of summertime’s favorite treats for kids of all ages. Today, May 27, honors one of the most popular flavors!

Turns out it was the frozen mistake that made a fortune. Can you believe it?

The very first Popsicle ice pop was created way back in 1905 by an 11-year-old named Frank Epperson. He was outside mixing water and a flavor pouch to make soda. He accidentally left it outside over night and it froze.

However, it wasn’t until 20 yrs later with the Joe Lowe Co. that the idea came to fruition. His flavored ices were originally called the “Epsicle”, renamed the Popsicle.

So, go ahead and treat yourself today with a Popsicle since it is Grape Popsicle Day! It will be tasty and help cool you down!
