VIDEO: Detroit Teenager Gets National Recognition For Calming Detroit Protests
A Detroit teenager is getting a lot of recognition these past couple of days for bringing calm to protests in Detroit on Monday night.
Stefan Perez, a 16-year-old from Southwest Detroit, stood with a megaphone between protesters and police Monday night and urged people to stay clam and stay safe…
“The fact that I was able to put my hand up and stop everybody from causing trouble here tonight, I look back and smile at that moment,” said Perez, who is not affiliated with any political organization. “The people followed me into battle and I’m glad that I was able to get them home safely.”
Mayor Duggan calling the teen to thank him saying…”Stefan, I was watching the video, and I saw your leadership, I have tears in my eyes,” the mayor said. “You are everything that is special about the city of Detroit.”
People Magazine even taking notice of Stefan…..
We need more Stefan Perez’s in the world!
