Dr. Kelly-Anne Perkins married Michael Gordon on Saturday at the Logan Hotel in Philadelphia. The hotel is located near the Art Museum (aka The Rocky Steps). The couple stepped out of the hotel and into the crowd of thousands who were rallying for justice for George Floyd. They were met with cheers.
Dr. Kelly-Anne said, not only are we feeling the movement of the people but I’m meeting my husband on our wedding day as a strong Black man and a good representation of who we are as people…it was a very empowering moment.
The couple did not have reception, they are waiting until 2021 to have one.
