I have been waiting for this day for months!!  As an avid sports fan and sports mom, my life hasn’t been the same since the pandemic started.

On Thursday, Governor Whitmer signed an executive order allowing professional sports teams in Michigan to return to action…. but without a live audience.

In a news release, Governor Whitmer saying “Good news, sports fans.  We are now ready to gradually and safely allow professional sports to resume in Michigan. While this is an encouraging step in the reopening of our economy, it is critical for athletes to continue social distancing and taking precautions to stay safe. We want to keep our momentum going and keep moving forward, so it’s incumbent on everyone doing their part to slow the spread of COVID-19.”

The Red Wings’ and Pistons’ seasons have ended, but the Tigers are slated to start camp July 1st, with their first game on July 23rd or 24th.

The Lions are in their off season, but Matthew Stafford leading a small workout at Bloomfield Hills High School.

We may have to watch it on TV, but SPORTS is back baby!
