Okay so I know I’m about a year late, but I’ve always wanted to do this and I finally found a server that was worth it.
Have you heard of the Tip The Bill Challenge? It’s when you tip your server the amount of whatever your bill was. I went to Crazy Gringo’s Mexican Restaurant last night with my girlfriend and I had a server by the name of Matt who was wonderful! He had personality, he was funny and very knowledgeable of the menu. He was just overall in a good mood which is pretty rare lately due to COVID. My food didn’t come out correct at first and rather than say “You didn’t say no beans.”, he made it right and kept apologizing.
While we were wrapping up our meal, he had a conversation with us about everything. The virus, food, the decor of the outdoor patio and he told us that we were his best table all night. Sure, he could say that to everyone but regardless, he won me over. Kudos to Matt!
I’ve pondered doing the Tip The Bill Challenge for a while but I didn’t know when I would do it and I never wanted to do it for someone who I felt was being in-genuine. Not to mention, your boy isn’t made of money and I can’t afford to do this EVERY time I eat out but I felt really good about doing it with someone who provided amazing service.
What would it take for YOU to do this challenge?
