Doja Cat Tests Positive For COVID-19 After Downplaying It
Doja Cat has tested positive for COVID-19, after recently downplaying it. The “Cyber Sex” singer told Capital XTRA that she wasn’t sure as to how she had contracted the virus but has since recovered.”I’m okay now,” Doja Cat said. “It was a four-day symptom freakout, but I’m fine now.”
According to CNN, back in March, during an Instagram Live session, she said she didn’t fear COVID-19 and had some NSFW words for people who did. “It’s a flu,” Doja told her followers. “You just take some Mucinex (a cold and flu medication) and drink water and tea and sleep. That’s all you gotta do.”
As we previously reported, back in May, the “Say So” singer was accused of previously having participated in racist conversations online. During that controversy, a song she released in 2015 titled “Dindu Nuffin” had also resurfaced.
The title of the song refers to a racist slur that was used to mock victims of police brutality. The Los Angeles native, 24, took to Instagram and denied participating in racist conversations online. She also criticized her critics and said that they were the ones who had “identity issues.”
