3 Simple Things to Show You Love Her on National Girlfriend Day
My girlfriend Kaitlyn and I have been in a relationship for two years now and one thing I pride myself on is having a strong foundation and a strong bond all these years later. I’m a guy who loves surprises! I love to go above and beyond to think of cute and special things to do to show my love.
Here are three easy and simple things you can do to show your love on National Girlfriend Day:
- Start the day off by making her breakfast!
I am the cook in the household anyway but I am not much of a breakfast person so I don’t usually cook in the mornings but I know there’s no better feeling than waking up to eggs, bacon, waffles and orange juice! She was able to get a full meal this morning before she had to leave for work.
2. Do something that you wouldn’t normally do!
Since I am the cook in the house, she does all of the cleaning but I know she appreciates when I help her out with that. This morning, I took the trash out which may not seem like much of a task but she actually thanked me for getting it together. I remember her saying “Am I the only one that takes the trash out around here?!” I was thinking… “uh, well I’m the only one who cooks around here so…” but that was insensitive and I do appreciate her keeping things up here around the house. It was my turn to step up!
3. Surprise her with a little gift!
I am someone who likes to pay attention to context clues! She has been talking about this “Patrick Starr” makeup remover thingy. I guess it’s some kind of mist you spray on your face and it wipes your makeup off quickly! I went to Sephora while she was at work and not only grabbed that but also a makeup palette and wipes. The best part about it is that she came home to a card first. She read the card and then I pulled the bag out and she was shocked.
These three things were simple and fun to do because I always enjoy making her smile. I’ll never forget how her smile was one of the first things I noticed about her when I met her. She had the brightest smile and to this day, it’s my favorite thing about her. You also might be thinking how it’s a “middle school holiday” kinda like “Sweetest Day” but if it’s an excuse to make her day, I’ll always take advantage of it!
