Jeopardy! Pays Tribute To Alex Trebek As Final Episodes Begin
I’m still shook that Alex Trebek is no longer with us. I can’t even imagine a different host for Jeopardy. Thankfully we will still get a chance to see him on the screen.
Monday’s episode of Jeopardy! began by taking a moment to honor the late Alex Trebek.
Executive Producer Mike Richards appeared at the top of the show, calling Trebek’s death “an enormous loss” for the show, his family, and “millions of fans”.
Richards said Trebek’s final 35 episodes would air, saying “that’s what he wanted”.
The clip ended with a shot of an empty Jeopardy! set, slowly fading to black.
Hopefully moving forward, there will be some way to continue to honor Alex as he made that show what it is today, no doubt about it.
R.I.P. Alex Trebek
