YouTuber Jake Paul became the star of the Tyson vs. Jones show last weekend when he leveled former NBA star Nate Robinson in the co-main event, scoring one of the most devastating knockouts of the year. Paul has stated that his goal is to face former UFC Champion Connor McGregor in a boxing match because it makes sense “financially”. The vlogger also called out MMA fighter Dillon Danis. But if he’s serious about a boxing career, shouldn’t he be challenging other boxers? That’s what ex-boxing champ Antonio Tarver thinks.
Tarver said that if Paul wants “to get some legitimacy in the game, fight somebody with a name!” The 52-year old Tarver is almost 30 years older than the 23-year old Paul and said that he’s impressed with what he’s seen from the young fighter so far. But Tarver believes that the only way Paul can get better as a boxer is to step up. “Get in the game and make a move, make a serious move. I can baptize you to the top level.” Check out the vid in the link below!
