This is an amazing example of ingenuity that’s helping the ones that need it most!
A group of Detroiters is asking for your empty potato chip bags so they can use them to make blankets and sleeping bags for the homeless!
The Chip Bag Project are collecting foil chip bags and turning them into these products as a way to help those without shelter brave sleeping outside during the winter months.
The inside of the chip bags have a foil that mimics an emergency blanket. They foil bags are melted together with a hot iron and then insulated with foam padding.
