You Could Score a Trip to Outer Space – Here’s How
Want to be one of the special folks that gets to be part of the “first all civilian mission to space,” just announced by SpaceX? If the answer is “yes,” then it could happen, according to a new Super Bowl ad.
Called “Join Us,” the ad highlights the four pillars of the civilian mission: leadership, hope, generosity and prosperity.
Bryce Dallas Howard directed the clip.
“To me, this was an undeniable opportunity to present the ultimate Golden Ticket,” Howard said of the ad in a press release. “This mission represents just how much humanity has to offer, and it was essential to capture that in everything from the photography of the SpaceX suit to Celeste’s beautiful soundtrack.”
The all-civilian mission to scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2021, according to SpaceX.
The CEO of Shift4 Payments, Jared Isaacman, will serve as the pilot aboard the Crew Dragon.
The mission, dubbed Inspiration4, will also raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Isaacman says he will donate the other three seats to crew members who represent leadership, hope, generosity and prosperity.
Two of the seats will go to St. Jude, and the last seat will be picked via an online competition. To enter, you must make a $10 donation to St. Jude through the Inspiration4 website, or start an online store with Shift4Shop and share a video on Twitter about “your entrepreneurial story.”
