Detroit’s Scarab Club Celebrating Black History Month with ‘The Souls of Black Folk’

The Scarab Club is celebrating Black History Month with a special exhibit.
It’s an historic move, as The Scarab Club at one time didn’t even let Black artists in. Now, the club is run by several Black board members.
A total of 19 artists, all Black and all from Detroit, are participating in the celebration of Black history.
The exhibit is on display through March 6. It’s open to the public at The Scarab Club, 217 Farnsworth Street, Detroit, from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, and admission is free.
