Megan Thee Stallion Says The Grammys Aren’t Rigged, But Still Supports The Weeknd
Megan Thee Stallion took home three Grammys last night, for Best New Artist, Best Rap Song for “Savage,” and Best Rap Performance for the “Savage” remix with Beyoncé.
Gossip web site TMZ reported that after the Grammys, Megan Thee Stallion was signing autographs from the inside of her car, when someone directly asked her if the Grammy Awards are rigged — to which she simply replied, “Hell no the Grammys aren’t rigged. B—- you win some, you lose some.”
Although her comment contradicts her support for The Weeknd, she still has love and support for the artist saying, “We love The Weeknd. We stan!”
As we previously reported, The Weeknd responded not getting a single nomination for this year’s Grammys via Twitter, saying, “The Grammys remain corrupt. You owe me, my fans and the industry transparency…”
Furthermore, he said he would boycott the awards from now on. “Because of the secret committees, I will no longer allow my label to submit my music to the Grammys.”
