Detroit Expands COVID-19 Eligibility to Those Working in the City
Detroit has expanded its COVID-19 vaccine once again, this time to include people working at Detroit job sites.
As of Monday (March 22), those who work at a job site in Detroit or live in Detroit and go to a job site will be eligible to receive the vaccine.
Detroit residents 16 and older who have disabilities or underlying health conditions are also eligible to get the vaccine.
Cases are currently rising in Detroit, so these measures, in part, are to help slow the spread of the virus, according to officials.
Detroit’s mass vaccination site at Ford Field will officially open Wednesday (March 24). For more information on that, go here.
