DaBaby Criticized Over Homophobic Rant At Rolling Loud
DaBaby is under fire again after his rampage targeting the LGBTQ+ community during his performance at Rolling Loud on Sunday.
“If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up,” said the rapper during his performance. “Ladies, if your p**** smell like water, put your cellphone lighter up. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking d*** in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up.”
Fans caught the incident on video and began criticizing the rapper for what he said and questioned why he needed to share his comments at all.

In that same performance, DaBaby also brought out Tory Lanez who was accused of shooting rapper Meg The Stallion back in 2020. The “Savage” rapper performed shortly before DaBaby’s set which skewed controversy since the two no longer speak since the shooting. Twitter was quick to defend Meg over DaBaby’s actions.

Richard Angell, campaign director at Terrence Higgins Trust, a non-profit that provides support in sexual health told Pink News, “It’s wrong for people living with HIV to be made to feel lesser or excluded because of their diagnosis – it should be unacceptable in the musical industry and in society at large.”
He continued: “Comments like DaBaby’s perpetuate HIV-related stigma and discrimination, as well as spreading misinformation about HIV. You can now live a long, healthy life with HIV thanks to medical progress when you’re diagnosed and accessing treatment.”
