Eastern Market Cancels Lions Tailgates for 2021 Season
The Detroit Lions are coming up on their big season kick off at Ford Field against the San Francisco 49ers.
This year won’t look like past, though. While crowds will be allowed in the stadium, tailgating at Eastern Market will not be allowed because of a lack of staff.
“We love the energy that Detroit Lions fans bring to the market but with our current resources, we can’t provide the experience that fans expect. We look forward to serving our tailgating crowds again in 2022,” Eastern Market Partnership said via Facebook.
Parking bans will be active during home games, and the parking lots at Eastern Market will not be available.
