Alleged NYC George Floyd Statue Vandal Caught On Surveillance Footage
The alleged NYC George Floyd statue vandal has been caught on surveillance footage, TMZ reports.
The alleged vandal threw paint on the bust of the George Floyd statue over the weekend and the footage has now been turned in to the hate crime unit in New York City.
Per the outlet, the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers division released the video that matches the description of the suspect, “a guy with a light complexion, medium build and who was wearing a green jacket, shorts and a hat of some sort, and who cruised by nonchalantly before vandalizing the statue.”
The alleged vandal is seen clear as day spraying paint onto the George Floyd statue and before anyone could stop him, he took off.
NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is still investigating the incident and the alleged perp has not been caught as of yet. The NYPD is asking for tips on finding the suspect.
