Michigan will soon be home to the world’s longest timber-towered suspension bridge.

The bridge, called the SkyBridge Michigan, is the latest feature at Boyne Mountain Resort in Boyne Falls, Michigan. It will offer the chance to ride a chairlift to the top of the mountain, followed by walk on a more than 1,200 foot long, 118-foot-high pedestrian bridge.

The bridge will even be open year-round. The grand opening is scheduled for June 2022.

The addition is part of Boyne Mountain’s “Renaissance 2.0” plan, which is their 2030 vision for Boyne Mountain.

“We developed five pillars to lead us through the next decade,” they said in a statement. “Projects currently underway include national-level attractions, new technology and lift innovations, hotel developments, green initiatives, and more. Not just our next chapter, but our next renaissance.”
