Your prayers have been answered. Ciara’s infamous prayer will be added to Summer Walker’s newest album, which is set to be released on Nov. 5.
Ciara, who is married to Seahawks QB Russell Wilson, has spoken on the prayer she said to God before meeting Wilson in interviews prior.
“I prayed for a God-fearing man. I prayed for discernment. I prayed for wisdom, to really learn from the wisdom that I’m gaining from the experience that I’m going through,” the performer told Essence back in 2020.
“I remember looking at my husband the first night we met — it’s like a movie — when we talk about our story back to each other, we both have the same feelings. … It was a calm feeling all over my body,” Ciara explained after meeting Wilson at an NBC wrap party back in 2015.
Ciara will be narrating the prayer for Summer as the outro to her sophomore project. So far the album tracklist has been airtight but the Atlanta singer has revealed the intro track “Bitter,” and the second track “Ex For a Reason” featuring JT from City Girls which will be released Friday (10/15).
