Report: Facebook Preparing to Announce Name Change

Now, I’ll be the first one to say I don’t know how I feel bout this. Facebook is one of the most recognizable brand names ever to exist.
Come November, Facebook could have a different name.
Multiple sources are reporting CEO Mark Zuckerberg plans to announce a name change during the Facebook Connect event on October 28th to better convey the site’s “focus on building the metaverse.”
If the stories are true, it won’t be the first time the social media site has changed its name. It originally launched as “The Facebook.” But who remembers that besides Harvard students?
If this is true, this will be sure to shake things up online. Guess we’ll know next week!
