Nick Cannon Announces the Passing of 5-Month Old Son
Actor and comedian Nick Cannon tearfully announced the passing of his 5-month old son, Zen on his TV talk show.
Zen, Cannon’s 7th child, succumbed to brain cancer.
Cannon noted the private struggle he and Zen’s mother, Alyssa Scott had been going through shortly after welcoming their son into the world this past July.
Cannon was understandably emotional, telling the live audience that Sunday was the last time he got to hold his son and that he is back to work so soon because it serves as a distraction.
“You can’t heal until you feel”, Cannon told the crowd, calling the episode a “celebration of life” for his son.
As a father myself, I don’t even want to imagine the pain and heartbreak of losing a child.
