LOS ANGELES, CA - JUNE 22: Chris Brown performs at 2018 BET Experience Staples Center Concert, sponsored by COCA-COLA, at L.A. Live on June 22, 2018 in Los Angeles, California.

Ariel Mitchell, the lawyer representing the woman accusing Chris Brown of rape on a yacht near Diddy’s home back in 2020, has officially dropped out of the case, reportedly confirming that the text messages and audio notes are legit, per HotNewHipHop. Mitchell says that her client never informed her of the messages, which is why she withdrew from the case.

Shortly after Mitchell dropped from the case, Chris went to Instagram and wrote on his Story, “D— y’all owe me an apology… won’t hold my breath waiting for it though…”

The recording artist recently shared alleged text messages between the two on social media where the accuser claims the singer gave her “the best d— [she’s] ever had,” per HotNewHipHop and asked to see the singer again.

That same week, the “No Guidance” singer released the audio of the woman asking when she and he can hook up again.

“You’re giving me mixed signals,” she says in the message per the outlet. “You’re reading my messages and stuff but you haven’t replied to me so I guess you don’t hate me… I just wanna see you again. I mean, just answer the phone. You just hung up… Like, just let me know. If you want me to leave you alone, I definitely will. But I really just wanna f— with you again.”

As of now, the woman has not yet replaced Mitchell on the case but she is still being represented by George Vrabeck, another lawyer on her team. The woman is suing Chris for $20 million for the alleged rape.
