Jussie Smollett’s Team Demands Immediate Release!
Jussie Smollett’s lawyers are going to work for him! They are asking for his release while his appeal plays out, claiming he risks being harmed every second he stays behind bars.
His legal team has filed an emergency motion arguing that the cons of him staying locked up far outweigh any benefits according to TMZ.
Jussie’s family has been receiving harassing messages and phone calls aimed at Jussie which they fear could be reality if he stays locked up.
His lawyers have also included an affidavit stating that he has a higher risk of catching covid behind bars due to a compromised immune system. They also believe his mental health will deteriorate.
This sounds like a classic case of “Let’s try everything we can to get this man out of jail because we know he can’t handle being in there.” Jussie, however did say he isn’t at risk of self harm and he will remain strong.
