Cardi B Deletes Her Twitter After Fans Troll Her For Skipping Grammys
Cardi B has deactivated her Twitter once again and this time its because fans were trolling her for skipping out on last night’s (April 3) Grammy Awards.
Cardi who was nominated for a Grammy last night for her song “Up” in the “Best Rap Performance” category addressed why she was leaving Twitter moments before she deactivated her account according to Rolling Stone.
“I’m deleting my Twitter but on god I hate this f—– dumb— fan base,” she wrote. “You got the slow dumb—– dragging my kids all cause y’all [thought] I was going to the grammys and I didnt the f— ? When the f— I hinted I was going ? just f—– stupid I can’t I needs to protect myself.”
Per Uproxx, fans were getting pretty nasty with the comments targeting towards Cardi and her family which the rapper responded back with the same energy.
“I bet yo son wouldnt like for you to be on your a– while teasing us fans and not ever dropping music,” one tweet read. Cardi responded harshly, “I hope your moms die.” Another person taunted, “do you kiss your @utistic child with that mouth?”
Previously, Cardi deactivated her Twitter in the spring of 2021 per the outlet which fans speculated that she was prioritizing finishing up her sophomore album which has yet to be released.
