Michigan Lottery Ticket Worth $1 Million Still Unclaimed
Many people have a dream of winning the lottery, but what if you have actually already won the lottery and don’t know it yet? As it turns out, there’s an unclaimed $1 million lottery tickets floating around Michigan that nobody has picked up yet.
I have to say, it would be a total nightmare to find an old lottery ticket worth $1 million that has expired. I can’t imagine. So, if you have played the Michigan Lottery lately, start looking around.
There’s just one month left to claim the $1 million Powerball prize, which was drawn last year. According to the Michigan Lottery, the winning ticket from the May 5, 2021 drawing was purchased at Warren Market at 28069 Mound Rd. in Warren. Tell all of your Warren-area friends.
The ticket matched the five white balls drawn: 16-23-28-40-63. That resulted in a $1 million prize. Powerball tickets are good for one year from the drawing date. Therefore, the prize must be claimed by 4:45 p.m. on May 5. If that lucky winner is you, the Michigan Lottery says to contact the Michigan Lottery Player Relations Division at (517) 373-1237 to schedule an appointment to collect the winnings. The prize has to be claimed at the Lottery’s headquarters in Lansing.
So, what happens if the money isn’t claimed? In that case, the funds will go to the state School Aid Fund. That’s a good cause, but it would be nice for the money to go to the actual winner, so check your pockets.
