Tory Lanez Taken Into Custody After Violating Orders In Megan Thee Stallion Case
Tory Lanez has been taken into custody in connection to the 2020 shooting incident involving Megan Thee Stallion. Tory, born Daystar Peterson, appeared in court in Los Angeles today (April 5) for the preliminary hearing regarding the July 12, 2020 shooting that left Megan Thee Stallion with gunshot wounds in her feet, XXL reports.
Per Rolling Stone, the “Say It” rapper was handcuffed during the duration of the hearing due to him violating a protective order against Megan. Tory’s bail has been set to a new amount of $350,000 in the felony assault case involving Megan.
Back in July, Lanez was found guilty of the violation of the protective order. During Rolling Loud Miami last year where Megan was performing, Tory jumped on stage as a surprise guest during DaBaby’s set which was in violation of the court-ordered 100 yards away from the “Savage” rapper. Due to this violation, in August, his bail was increased from $190,000 to $250,000, which he was ordered to pay to remain out of jail.
Judge David Herriford heard nearly an hour of argument about Lanez's tweets and said some "seem to be clear messages" to Megan. He added new condition to Lanez's release that he's "not to mention the complaining witness in this case in any social media." Trial date set for 9/14.

An additional condition has been added to Tory Lanez’s release terms, which prohibits him from mentioning “the complaining witness in this case in any social media.” The “complaining witness” can be presumed to be the “Sweetest Pie” rapper.
Tory is also facing a carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle charge from that same 2020 shooting incident.
A trial date has been set for September 14, 2022.
