The Weeknd has agreed to join Swedish House Mafia as headliner replacements for Kanye West after the Late Registration rapper pulled out of his headliner spot for the 2022 Coachella festival.
The Weeknd made it very clear that he would take the spot on the condition he be paid the same amount the festival organizers were going to pay 'Ye.
That amount - $8.5 million.
There was a bit of a negotiation between the folks who run Coachella and the Weeknd's reps, and it was made known the Dawn FM star would refuse to take a penny less than Kanye.
Get your money, Abel!
