Cardi B joins fellow Bronx rappers Kay Flock and Dougie B for the new song “Shake It.” The track also features Bory300 and is produced by Elias Beats which samples Akon’s “Bananza (Belly Dancer).”
“Shake It” is Kay Flock’s first new single since releasing his debut project, The D.O.A. Tape, in November.
The new track is also the Bronx rapper’s first song since he was arrested in December on a charge of first-degree murder, Pitchfork reports. Kay Flock, real name Kevin Perez, is accused of shooting and killing a 24-year-old man in Manhattan on December 16. The rapper has pleaded not guilty and according to online records obtained by the outlet, the rapper’s next court date is currently scheduled for Tuesday, May 12.
Kay Flock came onto the scene last year with the single “Being Honest.” A few months later, the Bronx rapper tapped in G Herbo for the remix. Both versions are on The D.O.A. Tape.
This is Cardi’s second song of 2022, after being recruited for the extended version of Summer Walker and SZA’s “No Love.”
