Kendrick Lamar Addresses Retirement Rumors
Kendrick Lamar usually lays low and isn’t one to grab many headlines, so when news hit this week about his new album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers dropping on May 13th, Lamar made the news for the first time since his awesome performance at the Super Bowl.
Amidst the excitement of a new album by the Compton, CA rapper, Kendrick took to Instagram and posted a file labeled, “Nu Thoughts” with a caption that read:
“As I produce my final TDE album, I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years.”
Fans immediately took to Twitter to discuss the alleged retirement of the To Pimp A Butterfly rapper.
Kendrick had a response…

TDE is short for Top Dawg Entertainment, and this would be Lamar’s last album under said label.
That might clear up the confusion.
