Kanye Drops ‘True Love’ Featuring The Late XXXTENTACION
Kanye has been very busy over the past year dropping Donda back in August and the sequel Donda 2 earlier this year in February. Donda 2 which is exclusively available on the rapper’s Stem Player device, which featured appearances from Future, Migos, Jack Harlow, the late XXXTENTACION, Vory, Alicia Keys, Fivio Foreign, Soulja Boy, Sean Leon, Baby Keem, Travis Scott, and Don Toliver. Now the rap mogul has decided to publicly release the XXXTENTACION collab “True Love” from Donda 2.
“True love shouldn’t be this complicated,” XXXTENTACION sings to open the song. The song finds both artists figuring out the complexities of love. Kanye sings about the ending of his high-profile marriage to Kim Kardashian and how it’s affected his relationship with him and Kim’s four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
According to Variety, “True Love” will also appear on XXXTENTACION’s upcoming posthumous album Look At Me: The Album. The song’s release follows the late rapper’s profile documentary on Hulu titled Look at Me: XXXTentacion which became available to stream at midnight. “True Love” plays during the documentary’s end credits. The late rapper was killed during an apparent robbery in 2018 at the age of 20.
“True Love” is the latest track associated with Donda 2 to be released following Fivio Foreign’s “City of Gods,” which featured Ye and Alicia Keys. The other Donda 2 song to get an official release is “Eazy,” with The Game.
