Kobe Bryant Once Compared Kendrick Lamar To Himself
The late, great Kobe Bryant was once asked if rapper Kendrick Lamar reminded him of any ballers in the NBA.
The Mamba answered, “Yeah. Me.”
Bryant, who was often compared to the G.O.A.T. himself, Michael Jordan, bestowed the “Mamba Mentality” way of life on Kendrick relating it to the comparisons between himself and Jordan.
“It’s the same hunger. When you step out there on the court, you’re taking heads off. I don’t want to hear it, I don’t want to hear Michael is the best player in the world. I don’t want to hear they call him black Jesus, I don’t wanna hear that. You have to show me.”
Kendrick Lamar has never been shy about calling out his spot on the top of the food chain while earning respect amongst his peers.
