Snoop Dogg’s Sexual Assault Lawsuit Resubmitted With ‘Threat’ Claims
Snoop Dogg is once again facing a lawsuit with new accusations from the same woman who claims the rapper sexually assaulted her, Rolling Stone reports. The woman, identified as Jane Doe, claims the rapper forced her to perform oral sex on him at his recording studio in 2013. She in turn sued the West Coast rapper back in February just days before the Super Bowl Halftime Show performance. The lawsuit, which Snoop’s lawyers called “meritless” and a “shakedown scheme,” was voluntarily dismissed “without prejudice” in April, three months after the initial lawsuit.
Now, Doe is resubmitting the lawsuit under the guise that the rapper “threatened, intimidated and coerced [her] into not exercising her constitutional rights to engage in a mediation” through an Instagram post addressing the original lawsuit.
“Gold digger season is here be careful Nefews keep ya guards up,” he wrote in the post.
The resumbitted lawsuit “contains the sexual assault and sexual battery accusations against the rap icon and his associate Bishop Don Magic Juan as well as defamation claims that state Snoop Dogg used social media to make thinly veiled threats against Doe,” the publication reports.
“Defendant Snoop Dogg’s pattern and practice of threats, retaliation, harassment, and intimidation unsurprisingly did not stop there,” the lawsuit continued.
“The complaint refiled today against Snoop Dogg by ‘Jane Doe’ and her attorney is meritless,” a spokesperson for Snoop Dogg said in a statement to Rolling Stone. “It follows Jane Doe’s attorney’s voluntarily dismissing just a few months ago her previous complaint on the alleged matter. He also dismissed an earlier complaint – this is the third try.”
Doe’s encounter with Snoop and Juan stems from an encounter back in 2013 following the rapper’s show in Anaheim, California. Per HipHopDX, “The woman claims Juan gave her a ride home from the concert and forced his penis into her mouth when she awoke on his couch.” Juan then took her to Snoop’s studio to audition for his YouTube series and when the woman went to the bathroom, Snoop walked in, “standing with his crotch in Plaintiff’s face, while Plaintiff was defecating on the toilet” and allegedly forced her to give him oral sex.
