Future Surpasses Drake To Become Most Platinum Rapper Of 2010s
Future has surpassed one of Drake’s sales records; he now has more platinum records than any rapper from the 2010s.
Prior to the RIAA announcing Wednesday (July 27) that Future’s sixth studio album HNDRXX and his Juice WRLD collab WRLD On Drugs are officially certified platinum, Drake held the most platinum albums with seven. Now the Pluto rapper has surpassed Drizzy with eight platinum projects.

Future may soon be extending his lead with his latest project I NEVER LIKED YOU which currently has 893,000 units sold nearing platinum status per Billboard 200: #6(+1) @1future, I NEVER LIKED YOU 35,000 (893,000 units since release). *peak: #1*
Pluto, EVOL, Future and the Atlanta rapper’s What a Time To Be Alive collaboration with Drake are also platinum, while High Off Life and DS2 went 2x-platinum and 3x-platinum, respectively, on Wednesday per HipHopDX.
This feat will most likely be a back and forth between the two rappers and frequent collaborators as Drake’s most recent releases — Dark Lane Demo Tapes, Certified Lover Boy, and Honestly, Nevermind — are also on pace to receive platinum plaques in the near future as well.
