Banana Boat Sunscreen Recalled Due To Cancer-Causing Chemical
Planning a vacation in the sun? Be careful what sunscreen you decide to use!
Three batches of Banana Boat sunscreen sprays are being recalled, due to the presence of a cancer-causing chemical.
The company says traces of benzene were found in samples. Benzene is a carcinogen that can lead to leukemia and other blood diseases.
The recall applies to 6oz containers of Banana Boat Hair & Scalp Spray SPF 30. The expiration date on the bottom of the can will be either December 2022, February 2023, or April 2024.
Check your bottles before you hit the sun!
