The song is already a hit in Cardi’s household. Yesterday (Sept. 20) the rapper shared a video of Offset dancing around to the unreleased track. Later, GloRilla posted a video of Cardi B rapping along to the lyrics. “When you having a bad day remember: EVERYDAY THE SUN WONT SHINE, BUT THAT’S WHY I LOVE TOMORROW,” she captioned the post.
GloRilla recently stepped into mainstream fame after her Hitkidd collab “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” blew up on TikTok. The song is a breakout hit for both artists. GloRilla later teamed up with Latto and JT of City Girls to make an official remix. The song is nominated for “Song of the Year” at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards.
The last song Cardi released was “Hot S—” featuring Kanye West and Lil Durk back in July. The “WAP” rapper previously mentioned that the Tay Keith-produced song is less sexualized than her previously released tracks. “It’s something that I feel like y’all haven’t heard from me before,” she said. “I feel like people is expecting a lot of sluttiness and blah blah blah. Y’all keep talking I keep making TikTok records and this is definitely not that. It’s a fun great record. It’s masculine [and] it’s great for the clubs. It’s great for the bitches.”
After telling fans that there would be no music video for the track, she dropped a visual about two weeks after the single was released. “Hot S—” marked Cardi’s first solo single of 2022. She previously was featured on Summer Walker and SZA’s “No Love” remix that dropped in March.
