Jerry Seinfeld Spotted at Michigan Eatery
Jerry Seinfeld is in the mitten. As it turns out, he likes our restaurants here- and what’s not to like?
The TV personality and comedian was spotted dining at Levi’s Food and Spirits, a Saginaw Township eatery, on Saturday, Oct. 29.
According to staff (via MLive.com), Seinfeld was at the restaurant for breakfast at 9:30 a.m., a few hours before he was slated to perform at The Dow Event Center in Saginaw.
Levi’s Food and Spirit staff told MLive.com that Seinfeld’s visit there was scheduled one day ahead of time by his managers. They also said the whole thing was “executed with discretion” and that most customers had no idea someone famous was in the building during his 45-minute stay. I know a few Gen Xers who would be losing their minds over spotting Seinfeld sitting in a booth nex to them.
“He must have heard we were the best breakfast in town,” Jeff Platte, the restaurant manager who helped prepare his staff for the visit, told MLive.com. “Only a few of us knew he would be coming in because he didn’t want the attention. He got the works and he tipped very well.” I think it’s really cool that Seinfeld took the time out of his busy schedule to enjoy a local meal at a local, Michigan spot during his time in the Mitten. Jerry, we hope you enjoyed your stay, and come back soon. Bring Julia Louis-Dreyfus next time.
