J. Cole Sparks Album Excitement After Clearing His Instagram
J. Cole fans suspect that the rapper might be dropping new music in 2023. The North Carolina-bred emcee cleared his Instagram of all photos, which sparked excitement among fans. Deleting or archiving all Instagram photos is often a tactic deployed by artists when they are dropping new music. J. Cole, in particular, has done this several times. He did this before in January 2019 and followed up with the release of “Middle Child.” The track served as the lead single to his Dreamville-studded Revenge of the Dreamers III compilation, which was released later that summer.
Before 2019, the rapper also cleared his Instagram before the surprise release of his fifth studio album, KOD, in 2018.
Fans suggest that he is prepping for what could be his next project titled It’s a Boy. Back in 2020, J. Cole teased project names before his 2021 release of The Off-Season, Cole’s sixth studio album. Also included on the list was The Fall Off which seemingly could be the title of the rapper’s last project.

It remains unclear whether the project will be Cole’s seventh studio album or a mixtape. There have been no tracklist or possible release dates announced but Cole’s birthday arrives at the end of the month (January 28) and would be a fitting title for this potential project.
