Multiple People Shot At French Montana’s Music Video Filming In Florida
A shooting allegedly broke out at a French Montana video shoot. The incident allegedly took place at Florida’s Miami Gardens Thursday (January 5) night. Up to ten people were said to be injured. The 38-year-old rapper was outside of The Licking restaurant sitting a car around 8 p.m. before at least one person opened fire, according to NBC Miami.
Per the news outlet, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and police responded to the scene and found multiple people injured. Police told the news station that they believed that an altercation occurred at a different restaurant and moved to The Licking. They said they had not confirmed that the shooting happened during the filming of French Montana’s video. Four of the victims self-transported to local hospitals, the fire department said. Authorities transported six others to trauma centers either by ambulance or air rescue. The conditions of the victims are still unknown, but the fire department said that several of the people suffered “traumatic injuries.” A witness told gossip website TMZ that the “Unforgettable” artist’s security got him out of the area safely and without incident. The story is still developing.
The Moroccan rapper also released new music at midnight, Coke Boys 6 (CB6) a mixtape hosted by DJ Drama. The lengthy 29-track Money Heist Edition includes features from A$AP Rocky, Benny the Butcher, Kodak Black, Jeremih, Max B, Vory, King Combs, Nav, EST Gee, Stove God Cooks, the late Chinx, and more. French also told fans on Twitter that what he calls “the classic version,” also available now, features 20 tracks. French’s last installment of the Coke Boys series dropped in November 2020.
Montana’s last studio album was released last June, in collaboration with record producer Harry Fraud. The 12-song Montega album featured guest appearances by Babyface Ray, Benny the Butcher, Chinx, EST Gee, Fleurie, Jadakiss, Quavo and Rick Ross.
