Rihanna is ready. Her Super Bowl Halftime performance is less than two weeks away and according to a source via PEOPLE, the “Diamonds” singer is ready to give a stellar performance.
“She is ready for the Super Bowl,” says the source. “She is rehearsing right now. She’s very excited, ready, and focused.”
“She can’t wait to kill it,” the source adds.
Besides gearing up for her big performance on Feb. 12, Rihanna has enjoyed laying low and enjoying motherhood. The singer welcomed a baby boy with her boyfriend A$AP Rocky in May.
“Last year was the most amazing year for her. She took a long break to focus on her baby boy,” the source says of her son. The source adds, “She is obsessed with him and feels fortunate that she has been able to slow down and just be a mom.”
In a recent interview per PEOPLE, A$AP showed how proud of her he was for accepting the Super Bowl gig. “I’m so glad that my lady’s back making music again and whatnot, and getting back out there. It’s just incredible.”
He continued, “The Super Bowl is huge, and her being the creative she is, she going to bring it, man. I’m excited. I’m more excited than everybody else, honestly.”
Rihanna returned to music after a six-year hiatus with the song “Lift Me Up.” The track is found on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack which serves as a tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman. RiRi also lent her voice to another song for the film titled “Born Again.” “Lift Me Up” is currently nominated for an Academy Award for “Best Original Song.”
The Super Bowl takes place at the State Farm Arena in Glendale, Arizona where Rihanna will be performing during halftime.
