Mean Jean & Shannon Renee, all new Morning bounce on 1 0 5 1, the Bounce. I know you heard story about the, uh, Chesterfield township kid, his dad’s card we’re talking like a grand worth of food. Yes. Could you imagine? No, I can’t. I’d beat his ass. I’m not gonna lie. So guess we have on the phone today! What’s that? We have his dad, Keith on the line.
Keith, talk to us about how all this craziness happened. Man, it was, uh, little father and son night. Mom was out. I, uh, I decided to let him use my phone to play his little educational games and he decided to wander off and I didn’t think anything of it. This time he never went on the app and explored GrubHub with every restaurant in Chesterfield Township so.
How did you figure out that this was happening? Well, I tell, you know, it was bedtime and I said, let me have my phone back. And I tucked him in and he was surprisingly, Really easy to put to bed, which is not normal . So as I was tucking him in, somebody pulled into the driveway, you could see the light through his bedroom window.
And I, uh, I peeked out. He said, who’s there? And I looked out and there was a young lady dropping off a very large bag and I didn’t think anything of it. Mm-hmm. , because my wife owns a slice of heaven cakes by Kristen. So she sets up events and you know, whatever, and people are always dropping off the wedding paraphernalia and things like that.
So I didn’t, I didn’t think anything of it and I said, Hey buddy, it’s just somebody dropping off something from your mom’s events? Mm-hmm. . Oh, okay. He got kinda sad about it. I said, what? Why is he sad about this? Mm-hmm. . So then I went downstairs and I grabbed the bag. Oh, it wasn’t a bag from a, on a event or a wedding, It was a giant bag of food from Leo’s Coney Island. Yeah. But that wasn’t the only visit you got that night, right? No, that was the introduction to what’s to come. How many times did your doorbell ring with food? Try eight, 10 times. Wow. Well, uh, is Mason next to you right now? You mind if we ask him a couple questions?
No, but I can grab ’em. Alright, well, we’ll talk more with Keith and we’re gonna hear from Mason in like eight minutes, so stick around some morning bounce.
It’s Mean Jean & Shannon Renee, all New Morning Bounce on 1 0 5 1 the Bounce, a GrubHub on a dad’s card. Yeah. And uh, today we have Keith and Mason on the phone with us.
So Keith, I have a question. I know it’s already a really popular app, but you guys have given them a ton of publicity lately. Have they like reached out to you to like, give you a credit so they can spend more money on Grub or maybe he puts you in a Super Bowl commercial or something? They absolutely have reached out and I’ve been in negotiations with the CEO and the head of their marketing, and you are correct on both of what you just said. Um, so we will see what’s to come. Oh wow. I’m like so excited for you. You have to know this. I actually pay attention to the Super Bowl commercials this year.
Do you mind if we ask, uh, Mason a couple? Please do. He is sitting right here. Mason. What’s up bud? So Mason, did you know that you were ordering all this food or did you think you were just playing your games. Ordering. Did you order some of your favorite things? What is your favorite food? Ice cream, chili cheese fries.
Ice cream. . Did you get to eat ’em when, when you, when they came to the house? I didn’t even eat any of it. Oh, you didn’t even eat any of it? That’s. No, we call that stolen food. You Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I get it. That’s, that’s true. That’s true. I was watching, you know, one of the news stories and your parents tried to explain to you how come what you did was wrong by taking money Outta your piggy bank. Did you understand what happened after they did that? No. No. , no lesson was learned. Is that what you’re saying Mason? . Whoa. . Well, Keith and Mason, uh, we really wanna thank you so much for being with us this morning. We appreciate it. You know, we just hope that. Parents out there can learn from this like I did, but hopefully they don’t have to learn a thousand dollars hard way.
Right? Well, honestly, you have to know that we as a show here are so excited for you guys and I cannot wait to see what comes. All right. And now, uh, we want to hear your story.
