Serayah Confirms Break-Up With Jacob Latimore
Fans were taken aback after rapper Joey Bada$$ posted a photo of him and actress Serayah cozied up at dinner on Instagram Sunday (Feb. 26). Serayah was in a public relationship with The Chi actor Jacob Latimore for several years, which led fans to the comments to ask for the tea. “This better be a scene from BMF… that’s all i know,” one user commented. “Hearts breaking around the world,” another commented.
However, Serayah made the next step in addressing the rumors about she and Jacob. “Me and Jacob are no longer together.— Sadly we just grew apart and I love and respect his journey moving forward,” the Empire actress said in a statement per HotNewHipHop.
In addition to her statement, she also clarified it on Instagram Live. Fans began asking her questions about her and Jacob dating, to which she responded, “No, I am not. I’m not anymore,” per the publication. After all of the questions and comments from fans, things seemingly went left for the actress. “People think it is so easy to get on the platform and start talking s—. So I’m just saying simmer down. That’s it,” she stated.
In Joey’s photo, Serayah wore a red dress while the “Devasted” rapper rocked a black tux, captioning the photo with a black heart emoji. Serayah followed suit and posted her own photo of the two confirming their relationship.
Serayah and Jacob began dating in 2016 after meeting at the BET Awards through mutual friends.
