Michigan Science Center Adult Space Night
If space and drinks are your thing here’s an event you’re going to want to check out. The Michigan Science Center is hosting an after dark adult night. Wait…it’s not that kind of party! It’s a world space party themed event. There will be astronomers on hand to talk all things space. There’s also going to be a laser light show and a bar cart so you can get your drink on! You must be 21 or older. It’s going down April 15th from 6:00 to 11:00pm at the museum on John R, downtown. You could buy tickets at missci.org.
Cass Tech State Champs!
A quick congratulations to Cass Tech’s Boys Basketball team for their win over Muskegon 78 to 63 over the weekend! This is the very first time in the school’s history that they won a State Championship, so I wanted to give them a shout out, for sure.
Megan Thee Stallion Talks Lil Kim
Well, Hulu is getting ready to release a new documentary called Rap Caviar. It’s a six part series that talks about today’s most provocative issues through the stories of current artists. It’s going to feature people like Tyler The Creator, City Girls, Cardi B and more, like Megan Thee Stallion, who talked about her experience when she first discovered female rappers, specifically Lil’ Kim. Megan said, “My mom was a rapper, right, she was a female rapper, but I had never heard of women being rappers ever because my mom was listening to UGK, Three 6 Mafia. My daddy, Lil Wayne. Like, we only listening to men in the house. But one day, my mom put on Lil’ Kim … Damn, she raps harder than a lot of these guys.” I love Lil’ Kim. I’m probably one of her biggest fans. I’m definitely going to check this series out. You should too. It drops on Hulu this Thursday.
Drake’s Girlfriend Requirements
Ladies, Drake posted a preview of his new song and the lyrics detail what he’s looking for in an ideal woman. He raps, “I need someone to be patient with me/ Someone to get money, would not take it from me/ They don’t even need to be as famous as me/ I don’t think I meet ’em at the places I be/ But deep down I think about you all day, mami” You can listen to the snippet below. I feel like I’m bouncing my head the same exact beat to every one of his songs. Is it just me or does it sound the same as all his songs? Drake’s actually been in the news a lot lately. He was supposed to perform over this weekend in Brazil at Lollapalooza but canceled due to not having his audio engineers there. But then, of course, fans saw him the same night with 50 Cent partying at a club in Miami and they were not happy about that because everybody’s getting refunds for the show he didn’t show up to.
