Detroit Demolishes La Choy Factory
People on Detroit’s West Side are looking forward to the abandoned La Choy factory being demolished, and that has officially begun. That area has been a magnet for illegal dumping, but it’s also making way for a new project as it borders the incoming Joe Lewis Greenway. I’m so excited about this. We’re talking about a 27-and-a-half-mile path that’s going to connect Detroiters and 23 neighborhoods to existing trails like the Dequindre Cut and Detroit Riverfront and other cities which is, I think, a huge important part of the project. It’ll connect the city to Hamtramck to Highland Park to Dearborn. So I’m totally looking forward to this and it’s nice to see the city focus on the removal of some blighted commercial and residential structures.
Rihanna & Jhene Aiko Car Theft Victims
Oh, man. Poor Rihanna and Jhene Aiko. They were both targeted by car thieves in L.A.! You know, Rihanna had that stalker show up to her house, and then, like the next day, someone drove off with her driver’s vehicle in front of her house! He left the keys in it and went running into the house and when he came back out it was gone. Okay, listen, number one, if I’m Rihanna, I’m having a massive meeting of my security detail and everyone on staff. Because, you know, I got his family! You need to get it together. Then Jhene Aiko, she was at lunch at a restaurant and she had a Range Rover stolen right in front of her eyes at a valet. She thought the valets were moving her car. No. A thief did and never came back with it! So, that sucks for them. But I have a feeling that they have insurance and can replace it.
Mary J Blige Lifetime Movies
Well, Lifetime has announced it’s going to be working with Mary J. Blige on a couple more projects with her. She’s actually going to be the producer on two films that will be inspired by her biggest hits, “Strength of a Woman” and “Real Love”. I’m sure in true Lifetime fashion, they’ll follow a certain theme. They’re going to air June 10th and 17th on back-to-back Saturdays. So, if you’re interested in checking that out, again, they’ll be airing on Lifetime.
