Drake Reacts To AI Version Of Him Rapping Ice Spice’s ‘Munch’
Drake is not a fan of this new AI. The rapper reacted to a digitally-generated rendition of him rapping Ice Spice’s breakout single “Munch.”
“This is the last straw AI,” Drake wrote on his Instagram Story Thursday (April 13) underneath a screenshot of TheShadeRoom’s post.
Drake is not the only A-List artist to have his voice used to cover songs. Rihanna, Kanye West, and Travis Scott videos have also been circulating throughout social media.
According to Financial Times, Universal Music Group has asked streaming services to block AI platforms from using its music to “train” their technology.
“We have a moral and commercial responsibility to our artists to work to prevent the unauthorized use of their music and to stop platforms from ingesting content that violates the rights of artists and other creators,” a rep for UMG said. “We expect our platform partners will want to prevent their services from being used in ways that harm artists.”

While Drake is not a fan of his digitally generated “Munch” cover, the rapper is a fan of Ice Spice. The OVO Sound boss congratulated the Bronx rapper on her successful breakout single. She told the story of Drake sliding into her DMs back in September.
“When Drake DM’d me, I did not really expect that,” she said per HipHopDX. “I had just landed in L.A. for my GeniusOpen Mic for ‘Munch,’ and he was actually like, ‘Yo, ‘Munch’ is hard and your On the Radar freestyle is hard.’ And I was like, ‘Damn, that’s crazy because I’m really in L.A. about to shoot the Open Mic.’”
She added: “Linking up with him was so cool. Like, he’s mad nice and respectful. We went to OVO Fest. It was exciting because it was like his first time performing in Toronto, I think in like a couple of years. So it was just a movie, everybody was excited. The energy was high. Nicki [Minaj] performed, it was lit. [Lil] Wayne did his thing. That shit was crazy.”
Both of the rappers recently put out new music. Drake released 'Search and Rescue' on April 7 and Ice Spice dropped her 'Princess Diana' remix featuring Nicki Minaj on April 14.
